Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Ingredients:

  • 1 small cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 large carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely shredded cabbage and grated carrots. You can also buy pre-shredded coleslaw mix if you prefer to save time.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and celery seed. Mix until the sugar is fully dissolved, and the dressing is smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture.
  4. Toss the vegetables with the dressing until they are well coated. Make sure all the veggies are evenly coated with the sweet dressing.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch of each and adjust to your liking.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the slaw for at least an hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld, and the slaw will become even tastier.
  7. Before serving, garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added freshness (optional).
  8. Serve your Sweet Restaurant Slaw as a side dish with your favorite meals, such as burgers, sandwiches, BBQ, or fried chicken.

Enjoy this sweet and tangy coleslaw that’s reminiscent of the kind you might find in a restaurant!
